The Senator, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, has said that he was still confident that natives of the FCT will be considered for ministerial appointment in the future.
Speaking in a telephone interview with Daily Trust, Aduda said if the section of the constitution that stated that the FCT should be treated as a state is properly interpreted by the Supreme Court, natives of the territory would definitely have a representation at the federal executive council.

The senator representing the FCT said the residents should love one another and work together so that the government will provide meaningful infrastructures needed in the community.
He said: “We should keep our differences aside. We are brothers and friends. We know each other because we grew up together. We should join hands with the newly elected chairman to move the council forward.”
Responding, the chief of Wako, Alhaji Ibrahim D. Usman, told the senator that he would continue to maintain peaceful coexistence among the people of his chiefdom.
